Tim Hortons now in every Canadian province and territory

Tim Hortons has added three more outlets for it’s questionably addictive, highly unpalatable hot beverages and high fat goodies.  The latest market?  Iqaluit. The small Northern Canadian community of 7000 is now host to 3  Tim Hortons kiosks.

At an opening ceremony Friday, an Inuit elder lit a traditional oil lamp, to welcome Tim Hortons to Nunavut’s capital city.  In keeping with Tim Horton’s honored tradition of waiting, 20 customers stood in line as the first shops prepared to open.

Tim Horton’s, which previously had no stores in Nunavut, has partnered with a chain of local grocery and convenience stores to open one of Canada’s northernmost franchises.

“We’re finally coast to coast to coast, sea to sea to sea,” said senior executive vice-president Nick Javor at an opening ceremony held in at the Northmart food court in Iqaluit.

Local residents are sure to notice the recent arrival of the Canadian coffee power house as the streets of Iqaluit are already beginning to be littered with used coffee cups and assorted garbage from the kiosks.
