Spent Canada day on the SeaDoos with family and friends.
It was an awesome day!
This video was filmed with a GoPro Hero 2 on a Bombardier SeaDoo SPX.
It was the first time I had used the camera. I was very impressed with the image stability and the ease of use. I looked a bit weird wearing it on my head but I offset the weirdness by wearing a cool hat.
Enjoy the video!
Rent a SeaDoo and go here!
Air Canada intends to lock out 3,000 pilots on the same day another airline union of ground crew and mechanics is set to strike.
Flyers and employees are looking to the federal government, who have been trying to avoid disruptions at Air Canada. Canada’s leading and biggest airline.
After failed negotiations to reach a new labour agreement. Air Canada announced it had served 72 hours notice to the pilots union that a lockout could begin as early as 00:01 Monday.
Air Canada made its most recent offer Wednesday, which was less than a month after Labour Minister Lisa Raitt offered both sides a new mediator and a six-month process to help them settle contract negotiations — a gesture that was welcomed by the airline and union at the time.
Air Canada pilots expressed frustration with their employers last offer.
The lockout Monday would coincide with a strike by thousands of ground crew and mechanics at Air Canada.
Talks broke off late Tuesday between Air Canada and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, which represents Air Canada’s ground crew and mechanics.
The union had rejected a new labour agreement two weeks ago, but returned to the bargaining table this week. According to the union, talks broke after Air Canada representatives failed to properly address a list of demands from the union.
The federal government was once again being urged not to intervene in Air Canada’s labour negotiations by critics who contend it does little to mend the airline’s frayed relations with employees.
A Nevada Brothel is giving Star Trek nerds a chance “To boldly go where no man has gone before”.
The owner of one of the worlds most famous brothels, The Moonlite Bunny Ranch, has a new business venture in the works. An alien themed bawdy house that would give clients a chance to engage in inter planetary relationships with fantasy characters from popular sci-fi television shows and movies.
Star trek nerds who have dreamed of getting it on with a hot Klingon woman would, for a reasonable fee, be given the once in a life time opportunity.
The “Alien Cathouse” has been designed in Area 51 motif and will be located about 90 miles from Las Vegas.
Placing the galactic love house in Nevada means it’s 100% legal. Owner and HBO reality TV star, Dennis Hof, has become a mulit-millonaire through brothel ownership and believes this new spin on the worlds oldest profession could incite a new generation of heathenism.
Happy National Chocolate Cake Day!
The internet is awesome. How else would we stay informed on momentous occasions like National Peanut Butter Day and now National Chocolate Cake Day.
January 27 was un-officially declared National Chocolate Cake Day. It is a day where chocolate lovers can forget counting calories and over indulge in any Chocolate Cake they are craving.
National Chocolate Cake day is not an official holiday but that shouldn’t detour chocolate lovers around the globe from celebrating.
I myself have already celebrated this holiday twice today. I had chocolate cake for breakfast and again with lunch. I may even push the limit and have some Chocolate cake with dinner.
Nobody likes a non-participant and National Chocolate Cake day is something I accept in the fullest. In my opinion it should also be a fully paid holiday…but maybe that’s asking for too much.
Always controversial NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has indicated that there are potential groups of buyers hoping to acquire the Phoenix Coyotes. One of which is led by former San Jose Sharks president and CEO Greg Jamison.
The expansion team has struggled with financial turmoil since it’s inception. Bettman did his best to keep media reports of the teams money troubles hidden but in May 2009 then owner Jerry Moyes put the Coyotes into bankruptcy with the intention of selling the team to Canadian billionaire Jim Balsillie.
Balsillie failed to acquire the Coyotes as his intentions of moving the team to Hamilton, ON were in violation of the the leagues rules on relocation.
Now 3 more potential buyers have emerged but their intentions of leaving the team in Phoenix are still in question.
“We’re going to try to avoid a move of the Coyotes, but if we don’t sell the club, I’m not sure that this won’t be the last season here,” stated Bettman in response to a fans question.
With the recent move of the Thrashers from Atlanta to Winnipeg coming only a year ago fans are still hopeful the Coyotes could be moved back into a Canadian city.
